Seems that the Warner Studios isn't happy with letting the genius of 300 be. They're up and about brewing a sequel in their cauldron, entitled Xerxes the story is more of a prequel as it apparently takes place 10 years before the battle of 300.
“It’s the battle of Marathon through my lens. I’ve finished the plot and I’m getting started on the artwork. Every generation returns to ancient Greece because, well, the stories are so damn good. The fact and the myth are inseparable and, believe me, when you go sailing for a while in the Aegean Sea, you start believing in Poseidon.”

Xerxes Movie Plot Speculation
The story of the battle involves Persians invading Greece, the only hitch is that it was Xerxes's father that was in charge back then.. So my theory is that we're going to see a version of 300 but with the main character as a young Xerxes, so we'll be seeing both sides of the story? That would be awesome, to get a point of view from the bad guys side. Let's just hope this doesn't end up with the same kind of plot as "The Spirit" because that was just horrible to watch for some reason. Maybe the color faded style of film can only be applied to a certain type of script and story? What do you all think, a 300 sequel mysteriously named a good idea? You going to watch it when it comes out?
